Car park repaired and extended thanks to D Morgan

“The team at Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) would like to express their sincerest thanks to D Morgan for their recent help and support following their work to revitalise the car park at our Centre for Independent Living”.

Derek Jones, Chief Operating Officer, Warrington Disability Partnership, Centre for Independent Living, Beaufort Street, Warrington WA5 1BA

D Morgan has helped WDP to sort out and clean up the Beaufort Street car park - including creating even more disabled parking spaces to make the car park more spacious and accessible for their visitors. All of this was carried out free of charge by D Morgan, using their own plant and equipment - and provided their own voluntary labour to make sure that all of the car park was up to standard with repairs carried out and parking spaces remarked.

As a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility policy, D Morgan are keen to put resources back into the communities they work in. This includes supporting the work of organisations like Warrington Disability Partnership and providing employment and training opportunities for local people and using local supply chains. The work was undertaken by some of the D Morgan team from their Warrington contracts who are undertaking infrastructure works on the 233 hectare Omega development site.

D Morgan are particularly active in Warrington having undertaken many major infrastructure projects. Through their work with Warrington Borough Council, Miller Developments and Warrington & Co - together with the fact that some of their employees are Warrington citizens - they are aware of the activities of WDP.

Ian Byrne, Technical Director at D Morgan PLC, said: “ D Morgan, as a socially responsible civil engineering contractor, are delighted to have repaired the car park at the Centre for Independent Living free of charge.”

'The ethos of Warrington Disability Partnership is shared by D Morgan and as a Warrington resident I am proud that we have been able to provide some practical help.”
