〽️ Heritage & Innovation Centre 🏛
Celebrating 75 Years of Knowledge, Experience & Innovation...

We were honored to have Ellesmere Port Mayor and Mayoress, Paul and Caroline Donavon, officially open our Heritage & Innovation Centre at our Great Sutton Business Campus. They were joined by directors Dave Dulohery and Ian Byrne, along with Denis Henry Morgan, the grandson of our founder, Denis Morgan, who began his business in 1950 with just one tipper wagon.
We proudly showcase five rare machines, all in working order, manufactured between the 1930s and the 1960s. These machines represent the transition from older technologies to emerging ones over the years and illustrate how working conditions have evolved.
It took 14 months of searching across the UK, Europe, and even America to find vintage construction equipment similar to what Denis Morgan purchased second or third hand during the 1950s as his business began to grow.
This celebrates 75 years of history, starting from 1950, and aims to educate all generations, especially the younger ones, about how construction equipment was used 50-100 years ago.
Our rare collection highlights the emergence of new technology from the 1930s, showing the journey to where we are today. It demonstrates the constant need for innovation and evolution, particularly since the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, which has driven the design and improvement of construction equipment to ensure a safer and healthier work environment with more efficient machinery.
The Centre will be open to school pupils of all ages, particularly older students considering a career in civil engineering. Additionally, it will be used as part of the induction process for new employees and will be available for our existing employees, their families, and visitors to experience.
