Project: Cilcain Reservoir
D Morgan were contracted to complete bulk earthworks activities in partnership with envolve infrastructure
on behalf of Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water
for the removal of two redundant reservoirs, which were drained and remodelled. Dams holding back water were removed or altered so that the site could be restored to how it may have looked in the 19th century.
The two redundant reservoirs were originally constructed in 1896 on Afon Nant Gain near Cilcain in the foothills of the Clwydian mountains.
Well done to all the specialist contractors involved, it looks great!
