Project: Rivington Chase, Horwich

We have welcomed Civil Engineering students over four site visits from the The University of Bolton , to assist with their current Geotechnical Module.

Whilst on site, they were given an overall project brief by our Project Manager, Gary Miller and a presentation covering the Geotechnical works being undertaken by our specialist sub-contractor Vibro Menard , presented by their Regional Manager, Matthew Wood.

During the site tours, students witnessed ongoing works such as, piling mat installation, dynamic replacement (DC), controlled modulus columns (CMC) and prefabricated vertical drains (PVDs).

We are the Principal Contractor appointed to construct 1km of new road infrastructure. This new spine road will link Horwich with Middlebrook for the developing area of new housing and commercial property. There will be over 4 hectares of employment land in the south east corner of Rivington Chase to create new job opportunities.
