Environment and Sustainability

Minimising Our Impact

D Morgan cares about the environment  and recognises that concern for the environment should be an integral part of how we manage the business.

Our objective is to balance the need to achieve our business aims with the need to protect and improve the environment.

D Morgan Environmental and Sustainability management system is based on three commitments:

  • Provision of adequate resources for effective environmental management.
  • Continual improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS) to achieve improved environmental performance.
  • Compliance with relevant legislation and regulations as a minimum performance standard

Industry Accreditation – Environmental Management System (EMS)

Our EMS has been established to comply with International Standard ISO 14001:2004, for the following scope:

  • Provision of Earthworks
  • Land Remediation
  • Demolition
  • Drainage and Civil Engineering Services

International Standard ISO 14001 enables us to review our environmental objectives and targets and to continually improve the environmental impact of our activities. The effectiveness of the system is constantly monitored and independently audited.

Resource Management - Waste Management System

Through the Site Waste Management Plan process D. Morgan will recycle or re-use as much of the uncontaminated material generated by the careful dismantling and demolition of structures and buildings.

Aggregate is produced compliant with the WRAP protocol and specification for highway works.

Materials including roofing slate, timber, bricks are salvaged for reuse and our approach is to seek a 100% sustainable record.
