Health and Safety

The D Morgan Way

Whether as a new or established member of the D Morgan team, we consistently aim to eliminate accidents at work, by rigorously training and developing the right attitudes and behaviours of all our employees. We promote the mutual support of informed teamwork to influence best work practices, so encouraging the relevance of our motto: Everyone Goes Home Safely. We communicate this with the D Morgan Way Behavioural Based Safety Booklet, which underpins our cultural approach to embracing safety to everything we do.

A culture of making excellence a habit

We aim to deliver an accident-free workplace, we expect the commitment of every employee to be fully in line with Section 7 of The Health and Safety at Work Act. We communicate this to all our employees, clients and others with the D Morgan Way Behavioural Based Safety Booklet. This broadly states that the duty of every employee is to have:
  • A Legal Duty of Care to Each Other–health and safety, and effects of actions or omissions at work
  • A Duty to Cooperate with D Morgan and its Clients – to enable compliance with legal requirements
  • Respect for Health and Safety Regulations– duty of care with mutual safety protection at work
We reinforce this by displaying the D Morgan House Logo containing the words, 'Everyone Goes Home Safely' on all PPE and throughout the company including documents, notice board and signage.

Duty of Care underpins each employee’s role in the management and operational systems, delivering performance and service to the client.

Safety is Necessary, it’s Not Optional... ‘‘taking even the smallest risk just isn’t worth it’’

D Morgan’s unique culture and comprehensive capabilities provide you with award-winning value engineering, innovative solutions and services.

D Morgan Helpline

D Morgan has a coordinated strategy to deliver an accident free workplace, incorporating its Behavioural Based Safety approach at the heart of its strategy to develop the right attitude and behaviours. Communication is vital and is achieved via an Early Warning System, using a wallet sized D Morgan Helpline Card. Talk to us and speak up for safety.

Observation Cards

We have had these cards printed in order that they are easily accessible, simple to follow and discreet. Observation Cards are to be used on site to log concerns. This is a good thing. We can all learn from observations, to improve OUR systems and change the way WE work. All observations are welcomed because they can make a difference and that is what we want. We encourage the involvement of all employees and sub-contractors with an ‘open door’ policy. We always seek to improve communication and openness to make improvements throughout the business, in particular to our Occupational Health & Safety Management System ISO45001 and to our Safe Systems of Work (SSoW).
